Sherman Dolman was an African American male that lived through the Great Depression. He was a Blacksmith with a family of three. He was born in Vervan, New Jersey. From reading his interview, anyone can tell that he lived a hard life with a lot of moving and he never really had a stationary home, except when he was younger. And during the depression all he and his family had for food was sorgum and corn-meal. And barefoot they would travel, look for opportunities, even though their wasn't much of anything, and just try to make ends meet, just like everyone living in the late seventies.

I think this photo represents the Great Depression because the man is working hard to make sure that he continues to have a job, because he is very lucky and many people at the time went bankrupt and couldn't even find jobs.
